PMS.
by
Julie Hull.
What a crap life with PMS,
Men just laugh and say women don’t know stress,
If only they knew every month,
How bad things get, it makes you down in the dumps,
I just want to sit and cry,
The slightest little thing sets me off, WHY?,
What happens to me to make me feel so blue,
Why does it happen to me, but not to you,
I want to scream, I want to shout,
I feel really bad without a doubt,
I can’t cope with everyday life,
I have to though, I’m a mum and a wife,
Some people just laugh and say cheer up,
I just want to shout, shut up! Shut up! Shut up!,
You don’t understand how I’m feeling,
PMS has got me reeling,
I’m usually quite loving and caring,
But PMS gets me glaring,
My family laugh, “It’s the time of the Month”
Just leave her alone, she’s down in the dumps,
I just wish sometimes it would go away,
At really bad times it can ruin my day,
Sometimes I say things that are really bad,
Afterwards it makes me feel so sad,
When PMS strikes, I feel like a freak,
Why does it affect me for over a week?,
It’s not the real me, that people see,
It’s the PMS taking over me!!!

THE REAL ME.
By
Lucy Davies.
The real me stands lonely in a crowd of strangers,
The real me seeks friends but is wary,
The real me is sad, 7 years of lost friendship,
The real me is frightened, so small in a big world.
The real world is large and scary,
The real world attacks my weaknesses,
The real weaknesses are the ones I discover,
The real discovery is newness.
The real newness makes me resort to desperation,
The real newness discovers friends,
The real friends are ones I hope to trust,
The real trust will come in time.
The real me is suddenly relaxed,
The real me discovers I am not alone,
The real me knows I am one of many,
The real me steps into the real world at last.
Lucy is 14 years old and attends Culcheth High School, Warrington.
Looking at her work she has a natural flair for writing.
Keep at it Lucy!
DELLA AND FLOSSIE - MY DOGS.
By
Gary Gent.
Floss is one,
Della is six,
Their favourite food
Are chewy sticks.
They are both beautiful,
They really melt your heart,
But feed them the wrong things,
And they begin to bark.
They both are little Yorkies,
And are really very sweet,
But don’t look where you’re going,
And they’ll knock you off your feet.
Della is the smallest,
Floss has grown so big,
That’s ‘cos Della doesn’t eat so much,
But Floss eats like a pig!
Flossie sits by the window,
When mum and dad are parking,
She sees them, then she drives me mad,
Because of her loud barking.
Della is my baby,
She follows me everywhere,
Upstairs, downstairs, kitchen,
She sleeps next to me on the chair.
Well, they’re my girls, I love them,
Just as you can see,
And the reason that I love them,
Is that I know that they love me.
