BOOK REVIEW.

NAME OF BOOK: The Runaway Jury.
AUTHORS NAME: John Grisham.
Major Characters: NICHOLAS EASTER. Member of the Jury.
FITCH. The man behind trying to manipulate the jury.
MARLEE. Not her real name. She works along side Nicholas.
JUDGE HARKIN. Presiding judge over the trial.
Setting: Biloxi, Mississippi, The courtroom, various locations throughout the US, Juries own home towns.
Summary of the book.
A major tobacco firm is bought to court by the widow of a smoker who died from his habit.
Fitch negotiates the right sort of Jury to deliver the verdict in favour of the tobacco firm, but all is not well. Nicholas Easter (not his real name), and girlfriend, Marlee, (not her real name), set about trying to act as one voice for the Jury.
In the end, Fitch gets ‘stitched up’ to the tune of ten million dollars.
And the tobacco firm? Well read the book and see!
Evaluation.
This was an excellent story of intrigue, suspense and drama. I couldn’t put it down one I got into it.
This was a book with lots of twists and turns. Can’t wait to see the film.
