The Zimmermen

The Zimmermen are a group of musicians who were brought together by a certain Mr Hargreaves (from here on in referred to as "Mr H") in the winter months of 2005 as a sort of East Lancashire appreciation society of all things Dylan. "Mr H", had the idea to recreate that "thin wild mercury music" he had heard in his youth except to do so in the inimitable style of the East Lancashire rock n roll pub band.

The Zimmermen comprise a nucleus of four musicians; "Mr H" on Hammond organ, "Tom O'G"on red Tokai strat, "Roger", on bass guitar, and "Parky,” on drums. The Zimmermen can also include a certain vocalist who exudes talent, youth and promise called "Morgan,"-let's hope he don't blow it- and a substitute drummer called "Col."
Col is a man who simply oozes rhythm, and is a joy to behold playing the sticks.

We also have an occasional guitarist called "Ricky." Ricky-"life's too short for bad tone"-once spent time trading riffs and chops with none other than the original sultan of swing himself, Mr M.K.
The Zimmies, as they are known locally, are available throughout the year for bookings: Clubs, pubs and private functions.

Whatever the occasion; be it a birth, death, wedding or funeral; a separation or reconciliation, or something unusual such as, for example, waking up one morning and finding yourself being born again and wanting to celebrate this. Or even wanting to undertake your own protest march.
Whatever! We will play a selection of Dylan songs just for you...hand picked to mirror the requirements of your special occasion... wherever the gig, whatever the fee, all work will be considered, reasonable rates apply ...Book The Zimmermen- we always treat every gig like it's our first...(and possibly our last !).
