We meet every other Monday in the Car Park of St. Mark's Church
ready to leave at 10 am promptly.
There is a choice of either a strenuous walk or a gentle walk
led by volunteer walkers.
Transport to the start of the walks relies on informal car sharing.
The walks are easy full day walks with a stop for a packed lunch.
Each walk is about seven miles, give or take.
The gentle walks are on predominantly flat ground and involve little or no climbing.
The strenuous walks usually but not always involve some hilly sections and there may be
steep stretches but nothing a reasonably fit person would find too hard.
We are generally back at Worsley by four o-clock

We would wish to encourage as many people as possible to lead walks.
Assistance is available to reconnoitre walks.
As soon as one programme is settled; it's time to start planning
the next one.

We meet every other Monday afternoon (alternating with the Long Walks) at Monton Green ready to leave at 1-00 pm.
Transport to the start of the walks is arranged by informal car sharing.
The walks are an easy three to four miles and we try to find a convenient
tea-room somewhere along the route. The pace is quite gentle and allows
enough breath to chat as we walk.
New walkers are sure of a warm welcome.

The walks have changed slightly, in so far as we now meet at 2pm on alternate Mondays every fortnight, and, normally we have transport available
This change in our format has enabled us to venture slightly further
afield and with all members co-operating we are building up quite a comprehensive schedule of venues. I think perhaps, also, the length of our walks has increased slightly (as has our membership) but we never exceed one and a half hour duration.
