What is Triathlon?
Triathlon is essentially a 3 element sport:
* Swimming
* Biking
* Running
In between each discipline there is also a 'transition' phase which is where you'll put the kit on for the next section of the race - of course its equally important that you do this quickly too.

The distances you cover depend on your age group.

Alternatively, if you're a beginner, you may want to be entered into the 'Novice' section for the first few races until you've got the hang of it and feel confident to move up.

During the course of the winter & summer series of events, we also compete in events called Aquathlon (swim & run only) and Duathlon (bike & run only).

These events form an equally important part of the triathlon events calendar and give some competitors the opportunity to take part in their favourite disciplines.
