Miss Jennie
|
Hi, I am Miss Jennie. I have been dancing for all of my life, bar the first 36 months. It is my first love and I am so pleased to be able to share that in the classes that I teach. I have worked with many different dance companies, as a dancer, teacher and choreographer and it is nice to put it all together at Palms School of Dance.
I am a qualified primary school teacher as well as a qualified dance teacher. I have been teaching for over 15 years ( that is all you need to know about my age). I took a break from school teaching to work in a professional pantomime as the leading role and then decided to settle down and focus on the teaching aspect of dancing. I still perform in Manchester, but I wanted to apply my energies into developing the next generation of dancers. I am now fortunate enough to have Miss Carrie-Ann as my loyal supporter and co teacher.
We are now expanding the business into developing fitness within the work place which I am very excited about.
We are already used to choreograph and teach first dances for weddings which is a lovely job.
I still work in primary schools in the P.E. department of the curriculum, and I run workshops in a variety of dance styles, as well as training for the teachers in dance in the curriculum. It is a nice way to keep in touch with what is going on in primary education as well as improving dance for the children in the school.
