VOLUNTEER AT THE CAFE

Ordsall Community Café is a fun-filled, buzzing community centre in the heart of Ordsall. As well as serving snacks, drinks and light meals, we run activities like storytelling groups for toddlers. There’s also a hairdressers,IT suite plus lots of other stuff.
We can HELP YOU prepare for the future by offering you a chance to gain new skills and experience, while you meet new friends and serve the community.

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
☺ CAFE
Light duties serving snacks, drinks and food every day Monday to Friday
☺ CAB TRAINING
We are looking for local volunteers to help deliver advice and information at the community cafe. Full training and support will be provided by Salford CAB. Out of pocket expenses are paid.
☺ ORDSALL COMMUNITY GARDENING PROJECT
Help us to run our community gardening project. Duties involve light work in our greenhouse including sewing of seed, potting on and so on, and sharing gardening skills with local people
Some basic knowledge of gardening would be advantageous but not entirely necessary. Enthusiasm is more important.
Every Thursday 3.30pm to 5pm
☺LEAFLETTER
Help us to promote our community centre and café by distributing leaflets and our newsletter for us on a regular basis.
This is a good opportunity for an individual who wishes to volunteer for a local charitable organisation but is unable to give a regular weekly commitment, and wishes to volunteer at their own convenience

A community team challenge will enable your employees to carry out tasks for us making a visible difference in the community and improve your company`s image both locally and by your staff.

Ordsall café Project has opportunities for teams of volunteers to fundraise for us through sponsored events such as walking, swimming, bike riding, and even abseiling, collecting ink jet cartridges, stamps and used mobile phones.
☺EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS REQUIRED
Ordsall Community Café is a local constituted voluntary organisation, recruiting additional members to its executive committee.
Use your experience, skills and knowledge of local issues to guide the Community Café by helping with:
* our strategic direction and vision
compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
* performance and quality
* management of our property, finances and security
* good governance
In return you will receive a thorough induction, with opportunities to access training, and have the full support of scheme staff, and your fellow board members.
