Designed to replace the "Savox" Apparatus for escape purposes.

Could also be used by designated 'Specialist Personnel' under rescue supervision.

Unlike the "Savox", could be used for light manual work.

Not popular with Mines Rescue Service - reliability not proven.

Never used underground during an emergency incident at Boothstown.

Difficulties with re-servicing after use.

Worn wholly on the back, supported by a shoulder harness.

Weight fully charged - approx 26 lbs (12 kgs)

Duration - 60 minutes.
