Rehearsal Night
|
Rehearsals are held throughout the year on Monday evenings (except Bank Holidays) from 7:30pm and last for about two hours, with an interval for announcements and a 'chat and a laugh' with one's friends. Our rehearsal venue is Cadishead Congregational Church - on the A57, Liverpool Road Cadishead (opposite the Royal Arms Club).

 |
*It is at rehearsals we learn new pieces of music and practice our current performance repertoire. This repertoire is regularly changed to give variety to our concert audiences.
*The Choir welcomes visitors to rehearsals - without commitment or audition.

LOOKING FOR A HOBBY?
We're Irlam Male Voice Choir,
And singing is what we treasure.
Now if you'd like to join us,
We're sure it will bring you pleasure.
If you whistle while you work,
And singing is your dream,
Then you're the man we're looking for,
To join our happy team.
You don't have to understand music,
We'll guide you through all that,
With a great bunch of fellows,
And have a laugh and chat.
We sing mainly for charities,
And churches, chapels too,
We find we love to entertain,
With concerts that we do.
So if you want a hobby,
And you'd really love to sing,
Then you can find out so much more,
By giving us a ring!

* HEY! YOU MEN OUT THERE! WHY NOT JOIN US? *
*If you sing in the bath or at work, why not perform to a larger audience and join us for a very satisfying hobby, we practice hard but the sense of achievement more than justifies the effort. Previous choral experience or the ability to read music is not necessary. The rehearsals are very informal and you will meet a great bunch of lads, have a laugh and a joke as well as enjoying the singing. It's also very good for your lungs. To join the choir (we do not discriminate on age, colour or religious grounds) contact any member or just turn up.
*Completely informal, with no obligation - take part in as much or as little as you wish;
*Join in or just watch and listen, ask questions, check us out! Ring up or just turn up, stay as long as you like;
*You do not need to be a trained singer. All you need is to enjoy making music and friendly company;
*Know someone - a relative or friend - who might be interested? Send them along - they'll thank you!
*Love music but not sure about your voice? We'll tell you where you can fit in best - a choir is the sum of many parts!
