Do young girls get PMS??

What age can PMS start?? According to research I've carried out just recently, it can emerge in women between her teenage years and her late 20's. But is more common in women over 30.
My daughter is 12 and she gets the mood swings once a month, and I was interested to know if this meant she will get PMS just like me or is it just her age and body changes? According to the research it can be in the genes.
