We have through the Salford Open Spaces Com put pressure to obtain more funding for Princess Park.We have obtained a comitment to spend additional £5000 for the2002/2003 and £15000 for the 2003/2004 This commitment of £15000 was won from a budget of £50000 after much debate.It will be used to put bollards along Highbury Ave and to resurface many of the parks paths.
18th November
We have now agreed a rolling programme of bin and bench replacement for Princess Park.
23rd.Nov.
At the Irlam and Cadishead Community Com it was agreed that the section 106 received from Peel Holdings for use in Princess park will be used to top up the skate boarding fund and some of the balance will be used to replace and renovate the childrens play ground.
A water feature is also being investigated.of a interactive type.
