a great time was had by all
Friday 8th May, Gemini group were invited to the Lady Mayor Margaret Morris, parlour Salford civic centre.after being greeted by the Lady Mayor,
Frank Reid told us about official duties of the Mayor about the mace that is carried at ceremonial function,that symbolizes the authority as in the House of Commons,
there was a lovely buffet, a walk into the council chamber
we were told about the pro cedure of the council,
Frank also explained the coat of arms and told us some of Salford history, it was all very interesting, every one enjoyed the afternoon and say a BIG Thank you to all concerned.
